Pastor of Discipleship & Student Ministry
Tell us about your family:
God has blessed me with a supportive wife and two wonderful children. I’ve been married to Marci, the love of my life, for 18 years. We have a strong yet still growing marriage. She enjoys reading, traveling, small group conversations, and baking fancy desserts. For the majority of her professional career, she has worked in the legal field. Together, we have served in student ministry, young adult small groups, and adult formation.
Ten years ago the Lord blessed us with a baby boy named Hayden. At age three, we discovered he was on the autism spectrum - high functioning. He is often happy, silly, affectionate, and shy. Nearly four years later, the Lord blessed us with a baby girl named Emerson. She is princess pink, vivacious, intelligent, and energetic. She brings us so much joy when she isn't teasing her brother.
As a family, we enjoy traveling, snuggling watching movies, and playing board games in coffee shops on Saturday afternoons. I would describe my family as affectionate, silly, and very close.

To really know me you have to…
Grab a cup of coffee with me. I’m open, straight forward, and engaging (at least I think so).
What’s your passion for the people you serve?
I believe the church is a community of gifted people, not merely a community of people with gifted pastors. As such, I’m passionate about developing disciples, in and through community to share in the church’s “great” (co)mission. I healthy church operates as a teaching hospital that loves the hurting, disconnected and those without hope while equipping, empowering and releasing the healthy.
